Meet the Team of Trinity Exteriors

We’ve all seen the headlines reporting on unscrupulous contractors. Nobody wants to feel taken advantage of, that’s why it’s important to do your research ahead of time when hiring a contractor. However, even with best practices, you may still get stuck with a dud. Here’s how to tell if you pick the wrong contractor.
- You don’t like them. It may be your gut or it may just be their personality, but don’t discount your feelings if you don’t like your contractor. This is someone you’re inviting to work on your home, your safe place, your largest asset.
- They never call you, you always call them. If a contractor isn’t straightforward in calling you, you’ll be in for surprises throughout your restoration.
- They don’t listen to you. Again, this is your investment, and it’s not a cheap one. There’s a difference between a roofing contractor guiding your choices to what will work best for your roof, and straight up dismissing your concerns.
- They offer to pay your insurance deductible. This is illegal in Minnesota. So if your contractor is willing to break the law on this, he may be taking liberties with your roofing materials, installation techniques, or backing warranties down the road.
- They aren’t local. A company in your area works hard to uphold its reputation so it can continue doing business with your neighbors. Out of town contractors sometimes never come back, meaning there’s limited accountability for doing the best work they can.
