Meet the Team of Trinity Exteriors

As the autumn leaves begin to change color and the days grow shorter, we are reminded that the colder months ahead are not far off. However, before the temperature drops and the snow begins to fall, it is time to take a few hours on the weekend to inspect the exterior of your home and prepare for the harsh conditions of winter. It is without a doubt that the ice, snow and the bitter cold of winter put a home’s exterior to the test as much, if not more so, than the heat and storms of summer. In preparation for these extremes a routine maintenance inspection of the roof, siding, windows and gutters of a home should be scheduled for both spring and fall.

Save Money & Headache with Routine Home Exterior Inspections

Routine exterior inspections can save homeowners a great deal of money and headache brought on by small neglected issues that may have only needed a $5 tube of caulk and few minutes to fix. I think many would agree that they would rather catch and fix a potential issue on a beautiful autumn afternoon, than be scrambling up an icy ladder in the middle of January. Regular home exterior inspections are especially important in the northern climates of the United States like Minnesota and Wisconsin. In a short six months, homes in these areas endure an extreme change in climate. The surface of a Minnesota roof in August can easily reach over 150 degrees Fahrenheit on a hot sunny day. By the end of January, that same roof surface may drop to -50 degrees Fahrenheit with wind chill. That’s a 200-degree temperature change in a short six months. Combined with the storms, ice and snow of that the seasons bring, these extremes can turn relatively small issues into major problems if not caught in time.
